Our Cyprus Dive Sites

(DIVE CYPRUS) BLUE BAY:

A pretty little bay where we do our Discover Scuba dives. Max depth is approximately 6 metres. Lots of fish to see and feed on your tour of the bay.

(DIVE CYPRUS) GREEN BAY:

A very pretty little bay, a ideal site to start your diving holiday in Cyprus with it's calm crystal clear waters with a maximum depth of 12 metres.
As you enter the water you will come to fish table where you can feed the fish and if your lucky spot the Leopard Moray Eel hiding in the rocks.
As you continue to swim over the reef you will come across a sun lounger and you will see many amphora's broken into little pieces all over the sea bed. A very easy entry and exit dive site.

(DIVE CYPRUS) THE CAVES:

On the opposite side of Cape Greco, you may enjoy this lovely dive (a favourite of many) you will experience diving through small caverns & caves.
All caves have entry & exit point, and most importantly light enough not to require a torch. Don't forget to look behind you as you exit the caves as you will see bubbles escaping through the porous rock (quite a sight!)
Maximum depth on this dive is 12 metres & you may exit through a 'blow hole' in one of the caves - fantastic! Another good site for underwater photographers.

(DIVE CYPRUS) THE CHAPEL:

We park our vehicles outside a small chapel which is built on top of a large cave. After kitting up we follow a pathway down to the cave and enter the water with a giant stride entry. We can dive to the right or left of the wall where the depth range is from between 15-30 metres. You will see sponges, underwater vegetation & a variety of local fish, together with octopus & large areas covered in broken amphora.

(DIVE CYPRUS) THE CLIFFS:

This could well be the site of the loveliest reefs in Cyprus! When we follow the path down to the entry point, you will notice Cyclops's Cave on your left. Depth ranges from 6 metres to 30 meters depending on objectives.
The underwater scenery is dramatic with large rocks & walls & a variety of fish & vegetation. Crystal clear water - ideal for a night dive.

(DIVE CYPRUS) THE CANYON:

Just under the cliffs of Cape Greco is the Canyon, you will enjoy this beautiful dive. Entry to the water is obtained via a steel ladder to a small bay. After entering the water we turn right onto the reef with a maximum depth of 14 to 17 metres, reaching the Canyon after approximately 10 minutes.

The water is crystal clear and is really good for underwater photographers, there are quite a few Octopus and Moray Eels.

An equally good dive , but quite different is to turn left out of the small bay into what is more of a wall dive with a maximum depth of approximately 18 metres. The bottom consists of white sand, and contrasts nicely against the colour of the reef and sea. This dive site is only suitable for Advanced divers due to the depth and difficult entry and exit.

(DIVE CYPRUS) WRECK OF THE ZENOBIA:

Perhaps the best modern wreck in Europe & the Mediterranean, the Swedish flag vessel M/V Zenobia is 175 metres long & is lying at a maximum depth of 42 metres. She sank in 1980 during her maiden trip to the East Mediterranean Ports. She is still fully loaded with Volvo trucks & trailers & other general cargo items. The life boats are still in position. Thankfully no lives were lost.

When we descend the shot line from the dive boat, you will touch the wreck at 17metres & proceed from this point on the dive plan previously agreed.

It is impossible to see everything on one dive (It can take several !) However, we offer a 2 dive trip available most days, leaving the dive centre at approximately 07:30am and returning to the centre approximately 15:00pm. This dive is not to be missed, it features regularly in the worlds top 10 wrecks.

THE MINIMUM CERTIFICATION FOR THIS DIVE IS PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER OR BSAC SPORTS DIVER. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MUST THE WRECK BE PENETRATED AND THERE IS A RESTRICTION ON DEPTH TO 30 METRES.
